Folklore (Master)

The Master of Arts degree in Folklore co-op program is designed to meet the needs of both students and employers. Students already hold an undergraduate degree in a related discipline. Co-operative education students in Folklore can provide employers with support in the areas of: 

  • Cultural documentation (recording audio/video)

  • Festivals/public events

  • Culture and economic development

  • Traditional crafts and performances

  • Marketing and communications

  • Tourism

  • Archiving

  • Curating

Work Term Schedule

Term: Fall Winter Spring
Year 1 AT AT WT1
Year 2* AT WT 2  
AT = Academic Term; WT = Work Term
*Year 2 can be configured differently.

 

 

Work terms are full-time, normally paid (according to the employing organization’s salary structure), and range from 12-16 weeks in duration. Folklore co-op students are required to complete two work terms as part of their degree program.
