The Canadian Third Year in Nice Program

Nice (France) is located in the south of France on the Mediterranean Sea. With the French Alps to the North, beautiful beaches along its south coast and Monaco and Italy to the East, the French city is packed with culture, the markets are stocked with fresh food and the good weather is plentiful.

  • This program is 2 semesters in length and up to 5 students from Memorial are selected each year to attend courses in French at Université Côte d'Azur (former Nice Sophia-Antipolis).
  • Participants attend the equivalent of five courses each semester with French professors (up to 15 credits/semester). Specified and unspecified transfer credits are then awarded for each course completed.  Students can also attend courses in Linguistics, Geography, Sociology and Anthropology as well as Gender Studies for which they can receive specified or unspecified credits.
  • Prerequisite:  Completion of either FR2101 or FR2160.  As this is a competitive program, completion of FR2601 and FR2602 is highly recommended.
