Graduation marks the culmination of your academic journey at Memorial University and is an important moment of recognition and celebration.
This page outlines what graduating students from the Labrador Campus can expect, including how degrees are conferred and details about the Labrador Campus Graduation Celebration.
Conferral of Degrees
All eligible Labrador Campus graduates will have their degrees formally conferred by Memorial University as part of the Grenfell Campus convocation ceremonies.
Whether graduates attend the Grenfell convocation ceremony or not, degrees are conferred at the same time. Once your degree is conferred, you are a graduate of Memorial University.
Labrador Campus Graduation Celebration
To honour the achievements of our graduates, Memorial is hosting a Labrador Campus Graduation Celebration in Happy Valley–Goose Bay:
Date: Friday, June 12, 2026
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre, Happy Valley–Goose Bay
The ceremony will include welcoming and opening remarks, the presentation of degrees, the presentation of an honorary degree, Indigenous and cultural elements, and a reception following the event.
Eligible graduating students who wish to attend must register in advance. Registration allows you to:

The deadline to register for the spring 2026 graduation celebration is Friday, May 22, 2026.
Guests
Graduates are welcome to invite guests to share in the celebration. Guest seating is limited and managed through the registration process. Additional information about guest tickets will be provided once you register to attend.
Recognition and Records
Participation in the Labrador Campus Graduation Celebration does not affect your academic record. Your diploma, transcript, and official graduation status are issued by Memorial University through the Office of the Registrar, consistent with University-wide policies and timelines.
