Memorial University offers a broad range of academic supports, ranging from workshops and interactive drop-in clinics, to a Writing Centre, an Academic Advising Centre, six library locations and various collaborative and individual work and study spaces.
Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar provides academic support services and systems to prospective and current students - from initial contact, to application, registration and graduation.
Academic Advising Centre
The Academic Advising Centre serves prospective, first year, undeclared and students transitioning between academic programs. The Academic Advising Centre is dedicated to helping you with your academic questions and concerns.
Bookstore
Memorial University's Bookstore offers textbooks, school supplies, apparel, giftware and much more. Pop into the second floor of the University Centre for a visit or have a look online here.
Libraries
We have six library locations with specialized resources, skilled staff and librarians, and an incredible wealth of information to support teaching, learning, and research at Memorial.

The Commons
The Commons Computing Support Area, located on the main floor of the QEII Library, is a central computing resource to facilitate research writing, presentation creation and more. There are collaborative stations for group work as well as standing express stations (15 mins or less). A new satellite Commons is now located underneath the clock tower.
The Writing Centre
The Writing Centre is a free facility for all Memorial University students, undergraduate or graduate, who want help with their writing. Staffed by a director and by university students trained as writing tutors, the Writing Centre's mandate is to help university students become better writers and critical thinkers.

Study Skills Clinics
The Counselling Centre offers services to help registered students who are encountering difficulties with academic coursework at Memorial. The supports include interactive drop-in clinics and other academic support programs.
Faculties and Schools
Faculties and schools offer academic supports specifically tailored to your curriculum needs. Check in with your faculty advisor, student liaison officers, or your faculty or school's main office or website for more information.
CITL
CITL – The Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning – is Memorial’s lead on the delivery of the university’s online education offerings, the use of educational technologies in teaching and learning, and the provision of educator development.
Convocation
Memorial University holds convocation ceremonies to confer degrees in the spring and fall of the year in St. John's and Corner Brook.
