Interviewing on Campus
Co-operative education interviews are conducted in both the Smallwood Centre (11 on map) and the Business Administration Building (28 on map). Please refer to the St. John's campus map.
The Co-operative Education Services Centre (CESC) is located on the 4th floor of the Smallwood Centre. Each interview room is air conditioned and is equipped with a wireless internet connection* and telephone. Complimentary coffee, tea and spring water are available. Upon arrival, employers are asked to check in at the front desk.
The business co-operative education office also offers interview space on the first floor, B-1015, of the Business Administration Building. * To access the MUN wireless network, laptops must meet university hardware requirements and be configured by MUN IT support staff. Recruiters must also hold administrative account privileges on their laptop to enable modifications to network connections. Videoconferencing is also available through the CESC upon request. Please schedule videoconferencing interviews at least one week in advance to allow for technical considerations. Interviews may be scheduled through the faculty co-op office. Charges may apply.
Facilities on Campus
The third floor of the Smallwood Centre (11 on the map) offers a food court and bank machine. The Engineering and Applied Sciences Building (18 on the map) offers a cafeteria and a bank machine on the 2nd floor. The Field Hall (33 on the map) houses Bitters, the graduate student pub which offers table service.
Parking permits are available free of charge to employers interviewing co-operative education students. Electronic permits may be issued to employers in advance of their campus visit. Simply request an e-permit when scheduling interviews with the co-operative education office of the program you are interested in. The e-permit will be sent via e-mail to the employer. It is to be printed and positioned on the dashboard of the vehicle while it is parked on campus. Otherwise, a hard copy permit may be obtained on the day of the interview(s) at either of the two interview sites - the business co-operative education office in the Business Building or the CESC in the Smallwood Centre.
Please note that permits are available for parking areas 16 and 16A only. Vehicles parked elsewhere with this permit or parked at a meter within 16A will be ticketed by Campus Enforcement and Patrol.
