3-Minute Thesis Competition

Congratulations to M.A. student Anatolijs Venovcevs who was second-place in the recent MUN 3MT Competition. In this competition research students had just three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance.

Anatoly is pursuing research into the transhumance of European forager-fishers in Newfoundland. Through the application of GIS spatial analyses, allied to traditional archaeological excavation and survey techniques, Anatoly is seeking to track and capture the growth, development, and variability of the transhumant phenomena in order to shed light on this method of European adaption to the New World.
