Graduate Internship Procedures

Graduate Internship positions are open to full-time graduate students currently registered at Memorial.

Internships are part-time (up to 24 hours per week) and are paid at the current graduate assistant rate of $25.43 per hour. Students can hold one Graduate Internship per semester.

You can hold a Graduate Internship along with other university-funded roles (like a TA, RA, or GradSWEP), as long as your total work hours don’t exceed 24 hours per week, as per SGS guidelines and General Regulation 3.4.8 of the University Calendar.

If you are an international student, it is also important to ensure that you do not exceed the allowable number of work hours as determined by your immigration document (Study permit holders may work up to 24 hours per week off-campus, provided all eligibility requirements outlined on the IRCC website are met.). If you have any questions regarding work hours, please contact Xin Wang at gradinternship@mun.ca or reach out to the Immigration Advising Team.

If you have questions, feel free to contact gradinternship@mun.ca.
