3MT

Prizes:

1st: $1000

2nd: $500

3rd: $250

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed in 2008 by The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia. Research students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance. 3MT is not an exercise in trivialising or 'dumbing-down' research, but challenges students to consolidate their ideas and research discoveries so they can be presented concisely to a non-specialist audience.

Memorial University's School of Graduate Studies will hold the Canadian Eastern Regional 3MT® competition virtually on Thursday, June, 17, 2021, 2 - 4 pm NDT. This event will be hosted by Dr. Aimée Surprenant, Associate Vice-President (Academic) and Dean of Graduate Studies.

Join us as the top 3MT winners from various institutions compete to present their amazing research concisely in just 3 minutes! Register here to view the live competition.
