Research Participation

Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates in the honours programme conduct research on a wide variety of topics. We invite you to browse the on-going research listed below to see whether you might be interested in participating.

Research Ethics

All research within the department is guided by Memorial University's Policy on Ethics of Research Involving Human Participants, which is in compliance with Canada's Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans. This means that each research project is reviewed by either the Interdisciplinary Committee on Ethics in Human Research (ICEHR) or a subcommittee specifically authorised by ICEHR to review projects.

Psychology Research Experience Pool (PREP)

Students enrolled in a variety of undergraduate psychology courses may choose to participate in or observe research experiences in exchange for bonus course credit (an alternative written assignment option is also available). Please see your course syllabus for full details and eligibility.

To create your PREP account and view the list of available research experiences, please click here.

Students could also view a video demonstration of how to use PREP.

PREP Researcher Information

Information for researchers wishing to test participants in PREP can be found here.

Participate in Research

Many labs in the psychology department are recruiting people to serve as paid participants in research. Any person — student, grad student, staff — with a valid MUN email account can view a list of studies that are currently recruiting research participants for pay. Create your account and view the list of available study opportunities here.
