Healthy Relationships Across the Lifespan

Photo of someone sitting on a dock. The water is dark and they are staring off in the distance. Their shirt is green and you can only see the back of their head and body.

The Research Exchange Group on Healthy Relationships Across the Lifespan (formerly known as the group on Bullying and Health) was founded in September of 2013. The new name and new focus will, we hope, better reflect the range and depth of research and practice in this area and help to reinvigorate the group, which is envisioned to:

  • become a knowledge exchange hub that brings people with lived experience, people working in health and community care settings, community groups, and within the education sector together with academic partners, researchers and students at Memorial University
  • build research capacity to assess and understand relationship problems including incivility, bullying, harassment, and violence
  • promote evidence-based programs and effective policies across this province to address and reduce bullying, harassment and violence and to promote healthy relationships across the lifespan, whether domestically, in community settings, schools, and workplaces.

The group connects researchers, faculty, educators, students, practitioners, and policy makers who gather monthly to discuss applied health research on issues related to developing healthy relationships, whether focused on the school system, the workplace, the post-secondary experience, health professional experiences or issues of leadership and restorative justice.
