Accident Reporting - Managers/Supervisors
- Fill out Accident Incident Report with employee/student if possible.
- Submit the Incident Report to Environmental Health and Safety within 24 hours of the incident occurring. *Supervisors unable to fully complete the form within 24 hours are advised to submit the form with as much information available at the time, with the remaining information to follow later.
- The supervisor and employee review the recommendations of corrective action with a focus on prevention of recurrence.
- Cooperate during the investigation.
- Implement effective and practical action to prevent a recurrence of the hazardous condition. May require short-term corrective action measures to control immediate hazard, and long-term measures to effect change.
- Provide employees with WorkplaceNL Form 6 - Worker's Report of Injury in the event of injury.
