MUNSU Elections for the 2023-24 Year

Nominations for the MUNSU Election for the 2023-24 year will be opened to Undergraduate students on February 6th at 9am until February 15th at 12pm. Voting will commence on March 8th and 9th. For more information on the roles that nominations will be open for, check it out here


Registration for Volunteer Day Awards are Now Open!

Nominations for the 2023 Volunteer Day Awards are now open for students to self nominate or be nominated by another individual! The deadline for nominations is March 10th, 2023. Further information on the awards and the nomination packages can be found here. If anyone has any questions, they can reach out to us at svb@mun.ca at any time! The following awards are up for nomination: 

  • Student Volunteer of the Year
  • David Kirkland Leadership Award
  • Volunteer Student Group of the Year
  • Volunteer Residence of the Year
  • Volunteer Staff Member of the Year
  • Faculty Volunteer of the Year


VIP Registration

The Volunteer Incentive Program is now open for registration for the winter 2023 semester! Any Memorial student can register here. The Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) was created by the Student Volunteer Bureau to recognize and encourage student involvement in volunteer and leadership activities. The program is designed for volunteerism and self-awareness, as each participant progresses through their university careers. The deadline to apply is Friday, Feb. 10 at 3:59 p.m. Questions or concerns? You can email vip@mun.ca or drop by the Student Volunteer Bureau at UC3014 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. any day classes are in session!


Memorial’s Online Record of Experience (MORE)

Student Life is thrilled to announce the launch of Memorial’s Online Record of Experience (MORE), a new experiential tracking system that catalogues, tracks and quantifies eligible co-curricular experiences into one streamlined, searchable digital library. By utilizing MORE, students will be able to document and record the skills and competencies gained throughout their university experience and showcase these to external stakeholders such as employers, professional networks etc. Check out the catalogue of experiences to view available opportunities.
