An ad hoc committee of Senate has been formed to investigate, consult, discuss, and consider inclusion of the Provincial Anthem, ‘Ode to Newfoundland’ at Memorial University’s Convocation ceremonies. The committee’s first official meeting was Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 and will provide periodic updates to Senate, as well as a final report at the conclusion of its work. Membership includes a mix of individuals representing various key groups across the institution.
