Joshua Royles

Joshua Royles earned his B.A. in Continental Philosophy from King’s University College at the University of Western Ontario, followed by an M.A. in Philosophy from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. His M.A. thesis examined the reception of G.W.F. Hegel into continental philosophy, specifically through the works of Alexandre Kojève, Georges Bataille, and Slavoj Žižek. His research interests include German idealism, psychoanalysis, and 20th century French continental philosophy. Joshua’s current research focus is on the function of desire and repetition in Hegel and Gilles Deleuze.
