National expert on health innovation to visit Memorial
What do Canadians value from their health-care system? Does the system deliver value to Canadians? Find out at the Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation’s main auditorium (IIC-2001) on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. The Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Applied Health Research welcomes Dr. Anne Snowdon, a leading Canadian expert in health innovation, for a Research Talks public lecture. All are welcome to attend.Dr. Anne Snowdon will present on Wednesday, Dec. 11.Dr. Anne Snowdon has dedicated much of her career to producing research and advancing innovation that will improve the health and well-being of Canadians. As academic chair of the International Centre for Health Innovation at the Richard Ivey School of Business, she leads the centre’s work to drive health system sustainability and productivity.Dr. Snowdon has published more than 70 research articles, and received more than $7 million in research grants. She is a Fulbright Scholar and was awarded the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Fellowship for her doctoral research. Please join us for Dr. Snowdon’s timely lecture about health-system innovation in which she will discuss the results from recent cost versus value research about what Canadians value and whether our health systems are delivering value to Canadians.
