Math 6100 Dynamical systems

Description

This course is an introduction to the theory of dynamical systems. The contents include the basic theorems on the existence and
uniqueness, continuous dependence of solutions, and the variational equation; equilibria in nonlinear systems, stability, and
bifurcations; global nonlinear techniques; closed orbits and limit sets, the Poincare map, the Poincare-Bendixson theorem
and its applications.

Prerequisites

Ordinary differential equations and linear algebra at the undergraduate level.
