I received a B.A. in philosophy and German anguage and literature from Universität Augsburg in 2015 with a thesis on the structure and presuppositions of Pyrrhonic scepticism. In 2019, I earned an M.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland. My M.A. thesis focused on Plotinus’ theory of time, arguing that time is the contemplative activity of the hypostatic Soul, and must be differentiated from temporal succession.

Since then, my interests have shifted more towards the sub-lunar aspects of Neoplatonic thinking, although my love for Ancient metaphysics still looms large in all my research. Currently, I am working on issues of embodiment in Plotinus and Proclus, including the nature of the individual soul and its relation to the body, the nature and limitations of discursive reason, the nature of freedom as it pertains to the human being, and the natures of and relation between matter and evil.
