I have BA and MA degrees in philosophy from Middle East Technical University, Ankara/Turkey, and an MPhil degree from KU Leuven, Leuven/Belgium. My MA research focused on the issue of techne in Heidegger’s thought. My MPhil research was primarily concerned with Heidegger’s notion of being-with (Mitsein) in fundamental ontology and its critical reception in Jean-Luc Nancy's philosophy.

I am currently interested in the issues pertaining to freedom, political action, judgment, and political community as treated in Classical German Thought and its relation to 20 th-century and contemporary political thought. My dissertation project focuses on Schelling’s political philosophy, especially in the context of his later thought.
