Research Interests

PhilPapers

Currently my main research interest is in moral reasoning and bioethics. This involves work on various methodological approaches in bioethics, and more specifically on the relation between moral theories and bioethics. My Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy entry on Theory and Bioethics is currently undergoing a major revision.

My research interests also include reproductive ethics. I have written (with Naila Ramji) on the ethics of uterine transplantation, and I am currently working on a group project on pregnancy reduction.

I have interests outside of these areas, including in philosophy and literature and clinical ethics. I am in the process of writing the bioethics volume for Routledge’s Contemporary Introductions to Philosophy series.
