If you are renting a vehicle for less than 30 days, you should not purchase any additional insurance from the rental agency as this is covered by the university’s insurance policy. If you are renting for more than 30 days in Canada and the United States, you must complete a Fleet Acquisition Form to have the vehicle added to the university's insurance policy. If you are renting for more than 30 days outside of Canada and the United States, you will need to purchase the insurance provided by the rental agency at the expense of the renting party.

No - Memorial University is required to follow the Purchasing Policy. Please refer to the Procedure for Acquisition of Fleet for further information.
