GreenTech High School Summer Internship Program 2025

About the Program

GreenTech High School Internship Program is a paid internship program offered by the Process Engineering Department of Memorial University with support from Industry Energy Technology -NL to help high school students explore exciting green and sustainable technology career pathways in Newfoundland and Labrador’s natural resource sectors. The program specially focused on empowering students from rural and remote communities, where mining, minerals, and energy are key economic drivers. Rural/out of town students will receive additional stipend to offset some of their cost of accommodation and transportation.

No experience? No problem! This program is your chance to gain hands-on STEM skills, connect with industry professionals, and discover how technology and sustainability intersect to shape the future.

Over four exciting weeks, students in Grades 11–12 will take part in a Work-Integrated Learning Program hosted at Memorial University. Through labs, site visits, and real-world projects, students will explore cutting-edge green technologies and environmental innovation.

Whether you are still exploring post-secondary options or want to better understand what a green tech career could look like—this program offers a unique opportunity to gain insight, skills, and confidence for your future.

 Through this program, students gain:
