Paper Recycling
In most public and common spaces, paper products are collected for recycling in multi-stream bins. Offices and administrative areas have blue bins for paper collection. Important: Paper placed in these bins is not shredded. Confidential material should be shredded (see below).
Types of paper collected include:
- Office paper
- Magazines
- Posters & Flyers
- Newspaper
- Books, note pads
- Boxboard (microwave dinner boxes, cereal boxes, etc.)
- Paper bags
Note: Paper towel and napkins are not accepted in paper recycling bins. Place them in garbage bins.
Secure Shredding
Memorial University facilitates a secure shredding service for documents with sensitive or confidential information through a third party contractor.
