If you are planning to do an exchange at a recognized university outside of Canada, there are various scholarships, bursaries or travel awards available to help you during your studies.

Going on an exchange

Scotiabank Bursaries for International Study

The Scotiabank Bursaries for International Study is available to students who:

• are full-time Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences students;
• are participating in one of the overseas field schools or study abroad programs offered through the faculty;
• and have obtained scholarship standing.

Deadlines

The Coca-Cola Scholarship for International Studies

The Coca-Cola Scholarship for International Studies is a travel scholarship available to students who:

• have completed at least two years of a degree program at MUN;
• are accepted to attend a recognized university outside Canada for one or two semesters of study for transfer credit back to Memorial;
• and have obtained scholarship standing.

The application for fall 2025 is now closed. Check back in May 2026 for the fall 2026 application.

Students going on exchange are advised to consult their home faculty regarding faculty-specific travel and/or international study scholarships.
