Programs and Admissions

Memorial University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) (Collaborative) Program is recognized for producing high-quality graduates who are in demand—here in Newfoundland and Labrador, across Canada, and around the world.

The program is delivered through a unique collaboration between:

  • Faculty of Nursing (MUNFON) and the Centre for Nursing Studies (CNS) in St. John’s
  • Western Regional School of Nursing (WRSON) in Corner Brook
  • Our newest sites in Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay

No matter where you study, you’ll follow the same curriculum—combining innovative teaching with hands-on learning. By graduation, you’ll complete over 1,600 hours of clinical experience, one of the highest in Canada.

BScN Program Options:

  • Four-year option: Available at MUNFON, CNS, and WRSON
  • Three-year accelerated option: Offered at MUNFON and WRSON
  • LPN Bridging admission option: Available at all sites (pending space availability)

The BScN (Collaborative) Program is fully accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) and approved by the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL). We’ve received the highest possible seven-year accreditation—four times in a row.

Graduate Programs in Nursing:

Our online Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) offers both a practicum and Nurse Practitioner (NP) option. NP students attend some in-person sessions. Our graduates go on to become clinical leaders, nurse practitioners, and health care innovators.

We also offer a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing, preparing the next generation of nurse educators, researchers, and scholars.

We’re proud of the programs we offer, the students we teach, and the nurses we help shape. We’d love for you to be part of our story.
