Nursing Student Supports
Nursing school can be demanding, and knowing where to turn can make a difference. From wellness and peer connection to tutoring and skills practice, there are people and resources here to support you.

You belong here, and support is just a conversation away.
Peer Tutoring Program
Study smarter, together
Nursing students volunteer to help you understand course content, prepare for exams, review challenging concepts and build effective study strategies.
Nursing Lab Assistants
Practice makes confident nurses
Each site has a Nursing Laboratory Assistant to support you as you independently practise the nursing skills learned in lab sessions.
Hours: Check with your Learning Resource Centre (LRC) for site-specific times.
Peer Guides
Your first-year support team
Peer Guides help new students settle in by sharing advice, answering questions about the program and offering encouragement as you get to know the Faculty of Nursing.
Connect: Meet them during orientation or email nursundergrad@mun.ca.
