Nursing research is making a difference

From improving patient care to strengthening nursing education and health services, research at Memorial's Faculty of Nursing is helping address the health priorities of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Research funding has grown from approximately $150,000 in 2019 to more than $1.3 million in 2025 - supporting research that makes a difference for patients, families and communities.

Research starts with curiosity

Whether you're a student, educator, researcher or community partner, Research Week is an opportunity to explore new ideas, ask questions and make connections.

Nursing students at all six teaching sites are encouraged to get involved! Wherever you are in your nursing education, your curiosity, experiences and perspectives matter.
