Research
My recent and current research activities focus on both Energy Humanities and representations of violence in Irish literature -- specifically novels devoted to the Easter Rising of 1916. I am interested in how a traumatic and significant historical events that involved violence comes to be presented in narrative: narrative that is also concerned with issues of national identity and masculinity.
