From Wednesday, February 27 to Wednesday, March 13, 2019, residents of Burton's Pond, Macpherson College and Paton College are taking part in a competition to reduce energy use and participate in energy conservation awareness activities. See the Schedule for details and check out the facebook page and event for more information and reminders.

Competition Categories

1. Energy Conservation: Best Residence
The residence that reduces energy use the most during the two week competition, compared to a baseline period, will win this category. Prize will be donated by TakeChargeNL. The winner will also receive a plaque to display until next year. Note: The dates of the baseline period for measuring typical energy use are not known to residents.

2. Participation: Best Residence
The residence which has the best participation (including creating a video and participating in activities shown on the schedule, or other related activities) will win this category. Prize will be donated by Aramark. See schedule of activities.

3. Winter Carnival: Top Three Residences
During the Winter Carnival, energy use will be measured from noon on March 1 to noon on March 7. The three residences who conserve the most will receive points. There is also a video competition. Videos must be submitted by Tuesday, March 5 at 1:00 pm.  Points will be awarded for first, second and third place. Check out the Winter Carnival Rule Book for details.
