COVID - 19 Signal Hill Campus

In alignment with current procedures at Memorial University, Signal Hill Campus will be closed to the public until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Please see below notices if you are looking for information from a unit that operates out of the campus.

Gardiner Centre - In alignment with the additional university precautions, all upcoming Gardiner Centre courses and programs have been postponed. If you are impacted by the postponement of training, Gardiner Centre will contact you directly. We apologize for inconvenience this may cause. Read more.

Genesis - Genesis is committed to taking a proactive stance against the spread of COVID-19 and helping where we can to protect our health care system and the vulnerable in our communities. As a result, all Genesis spaces will be closed to the public, effective Tues. March 17. All Genesis employees will be implementing our work from home plan over the next week and continue with our important work of helping to build amazing companies. Read more.

Conference and Event Services - All events until Tues. June 30 at the Emera Innovation Exchange Conference Centre as well as events booked through this unit on St. John’s Campus are cancelled. Staff are working remotely and can be contacted at meet@mun.caRead more.

Office of Public Engagement - Due to the Covid-19 crisis, staff from the Office of Public Engagement staff are working from home on a variety of projects. Please feel free to contact any of us directly or email engagement@mun. ca.

Harris Centre - Due to current efforts to limit the spread of Covid-19, the Harris Centre office is currently closed to the public and all scheduled Harris Centre public events have been cancelled. Staff are continuing to work from home and are available via email. For general inquiries you can contact harriscentre@mun.ca.

Business & Arts NL - BANL employees are working remotely and contacts can be found here. All upcoming BANL events have been cancelled or postponed.

Newfoundland Quarterly - NQ is practicing social distancing and working primarily from home, but we are on time with spring issue production and on track for the mail out in early April, as well as responding to emails and updating subscriptions. We also anticipate keeping up with regular new postings to nqonline. 

Memorial Pensioners’ Association - MUNPA is following MUN guidelines, taking our meetings online and monitoring emails and phone messages remotely. Members are urged not only to follow public health guidelines, but also to reach out and stay in touch with each other. For more information please contact munpa@mun.ca.

Johnson Geo Centre - Planned reopening to the public on Wed. April, 1 has been postponed until further notice. Additionally, all events hosted at the centre are suspended until further notice. Staff are working and can be contacted here

Signal Hill Campus Accomodations - Moving out or finding another location to live, while encouraged if possible, is not mandatory for students living at Signal Hill Campus who have nowhere else to go and/or cannot facilitate getting home at this time. Students are encouraged to watch for email updates to the Signal Hill Campus community from the office of Strategic Operations. Students with questions can reach out to SHacc@mun.ca .
