Protected Disclosure Policy
The Protected Disclosure Policy is to provide a disclosure mechanism by which Members of the University can report wrongdoing and to provide protection to members of the University who report wrongdoing.
The Office of the Board of Regents is pleased to announce the amended Protected Disclosure Policy is now open for consultation in accordance with the university’s Policy Framework. Significant ammendments included
Changing Protected Disclosure Coordinator from the Executive Director of the Board of Regents Office to the Internal Auditor.
Policy Scope Clarification to explicitly stipulating that the policy covers reports in the public interest, excluding personal grievances.
Enhanced Definitions to include a broader range of actions.
Responsibility Section added to the policy to enhance stakeholder accountability.
Members of the university community are invited to review the proposed policy below and hare feedback with the Policy Office at policy@mun.ca by October 7, 2025.
