Policy Framework Process

The Policy Framework Process sets out the various steps to follow for policy formulation, approval and administration in accordance with the policy on Development, Approval and Administration of University Policies. The goal in following the Policy Framework Process is to develop new or revised policies that will:

  • Not overlap or contradict each other
  • Be sufficiently researched and legislation compliant
  • Integrate and consider the needs of their users
  • Be available and searchable through the on-line database

To achieve this goal, the policy development must be planned, respect due diligence and follow the four phases:

Concept Approval

Draft Approval

Publication

Policy Review
