Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Collaborative) Program
Accredited by Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) (Collaborative) program offers a four year option, and a three-year accelelerated option.
Our program reflects the collaborative efforts of all three schools of nursing in Newfoundland - the Faculty of Nursing and Centre for Nursing Studies (both in St. John's) and the Western Regional School of Nursing in Corner Brook.
We have combined the strengths of the diploma and degree programs with the latest theory and practical experience to produce our innovative program.
The BScN advantage
The Canadian Nurses Association and its provincial and territorial counterparts agreed that, by the year 2000, everyone entering the profession should have a bachelor's degree in nursing. Our program ensures all Newfoundland and Labrador nursing graduates will now meet this goal.
This BScN gives you the basics of nursing as well as additional studies in health promotion, nursing leadership, health assessment, research, and related academic areas. Your program gives you many career and graduate study opportunities.
