Message from Dr. Karen Parsons, Associate Dean (Research)
Welcome to our School of Nursing research page.
This is an exciting time to be a researcher at Memorial University School of Nursing. In alignment with the vision of Memorial University’s Research Strategy Framework, the School of Nursing research faculty are committed to research and scholarly engagement that has great potential for impact on the health of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities within our own province of Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as engaging in matters of national and international significance.
There is a vibrant culture of research at our school that has translated into a continued and significant growth in the number of successful grants and public engagement applications and awards.
Other recent notable achievements contributing to our research success are the establishment of a Joanna Briggs Institute Affiliation for systematic reviews, enhanced research space, establishment of a PhD program, and the support of a grants facilitator.
Our School of Nursing research priorities identifies areas of significant research opportunity and growth. We also recognize that there will be opportunities for researchers to address issues and opportunities outside of these thematic areas.
