SON student and soccer star earns athletic title
Congratulations to second-year School of Nursing (SON) student, and star soccer player Jessie Noseworthy!
Jessie was recently named Memorial University's player of the week, and has just nabbed the Subway Atlantic University Sport (AUS) athlete of the week title for the week Sept. 21, 2014!
She is a member of the Memorial University Sea-Hawks women's soccer team and her AUS title came after strong play against St. Mary's and Acadia. Jessie scored a total of four goals and one assist in three games last weekend, helping her team win both their games against the Saint Mary's Huskies, and earning player of the game for her efforts in the second matchup.
She then managed to score Memorial's only goal in their 2-1 loss last Sunday against Acadia.
