JBI Memorial Featured in World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day 2025 Campaign

Oct 20th, 2025

Featured in this year's World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day 2025 campaign, the JBI Memorial University of Newfoundland Nursing for Evidence-Based Healthcare, housed within the Faculty of Nursing, is part of the global JBI Collaboration — an international network based at the University of Adelaide dedicated to advancing evidence-informed healthcare.

Established in 2021, the Centre was founded through the vision and leadership of Dr. Alice Gaudine, whose commitment to evidence-based nursing helped forge Memorial’s formal connection with JBI. Former convenors Dr. Karen Parsons and Dr. Sandra Small also played pivotal roles in the Centre’s early development, expanding JBI training opportunities and fostering collaboration among nursing researchers, students, and clinical partners across Newfoundland and Labrador — and beyond.

Today, JBI Memorial University of Newfoundland Nursing for Evidence-Based Healthcare continues to build provincial capacity in evidence synthesis, knowledge translation, and implementation science, linking nursing scholarship to global best practices that improve health outcomes locally and internationally.
