Catherine Trainor
Director, Nunavut Arctic College - Memorial University Partnership

Catherine (settler, she/her) holds a Master of Education degree from Memorial and has been Director of the Nunavut Arctic College – Memorial University Partnership since October 2025. Having worked under the Partnership since 2023, she brings a broad understanding of both institutions to this leadership role. In her work as Director, Catherine aims to build connections and deepen relationships, within and between Nunavut and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Catherine’s career in education has involved work in communities of all sizes, across Canada and around the globe. She has taught, advised, and led, primarily in educational institutions with an element of intercultural communication. Having now returned home to St. John’s, Catherinebrings with her a strong sense of cultural humility as well as a genuine interest in understanding others’ perspectives.

Lisa Boland
Project Coordinator, Nunavut Arctic College - Memorial University Partnership

Lisa started her position as Project Coordinator, Nunavut Arctic College – Memorial University Partnership in April 2026. She has worked at Memorial in previous roles that provide administrative support to students and faculty within the university.
