Pjila’si, Atelihai, Tunngasugit,
Tshima minu-takushiniekáµ,
Welcome, Bienvenue
We acknowledge that the lands on which Memorial University’s campuses are situated are in the traditional territories of diverse Indigenous groups, and we acknowledge with respect the diverse histories and cultures of the Beothuk, Mi’kmaq, Innu, and Inuit of this province.
Indigenous Affairs at Memorial University would like to welcome you to our virtual home.
Indigenous Affairs is made up of two distinct branches: the Office of Indigenous Affairs and the Indigenous Student Resource Centre (ISRC).
The Office of Indigenous Affairs operates institution-wide across all campuses, and exists to guide and support the university in Indigenizing the academy and in building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous students, faculty, staff, and communities.
The ISRC on the St. John's Campus operates under the guidance of the Office of Indigenous Affairs, and exists to provide academic, cultural and personal resources to students. The ISRC also provides educational services to the non-Indigenous university community, and works collaboratively to build relationships between the university and Indigenous organizations and communities.
