At Convocation, the Human Biosciences Department presents the following prestigious awards to recognize exceptional graduating students:

University Medal for Academic Excellence in Human Biosciences

Awarded to the graduating student in Human Biosciences with the highest academic standing, as recommended by the Head of the Human Biosciences Department and awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Grace Morgan Prize 

Awarded to the Human Biosciences student graduating in Honours with the highest academic standing. The recipient must meet the 75% average requirement, complete the course program on time, and be recommended by the Head of the Biochemistry Department to the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid.


Departmental Reception Awards

These awards are presented to outstanding students at the Departmental Reception:

Mookerjea Prize

Awarded to students who have been on the Dean's List throughout their program. This award recognizes both Honours and Majors students in Human Biosciences.

Head's Prize

Awarded to Honours students in Human Biosciences who have achieved an 'A' grade in all HUBI courses (courses with a HUBI number).

Brosnan Prize

Presented to Honours students in a joint honours program who have received an 'A' grade in the 26 required courses of the program.

Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism - Undergraduate Research Excellence Award

Awarded to the Honours Human Biosciences student with the highest grade in their Honours thesis (Human Biosciences 499B).
