Exploring the Options for Enhancing the Academic and Community Engagement Experiences of Black Students, Staff and Faculty at Memorial University Campuses

Seeking to centre Black voices in Memorial’s institutional conversations on equity and inclusion, the EDI-AR office led a community consultation that engaged more than 100 Black students, faculty, staff, and senior university leaders across the St. John’s, Grenfell, and Signal Hill campuses, as well as the Marine Institute. The Labrador campus reported no self-identified Black community members at the time of consultation.
