Appointment announcement 

The search committee for the role of associate vice-president (academic) and dean of the students has completed its work and recommended Dr. Christine Arnold for the position. The Board of Regents approved the recommendation at its December meeting. Dr. Arnold will begin a five-year term effective Jan. 1, 2026. Read more here.

Shortlisted candidates - Oct. 2, 2025

The search committee for the role of associate vice-president (academic) and dean of students has shortlisted two internal candidates. Each candidate will give a public presentation to the university community on the dates noted below. Details on virtual participation for those who cannot attend in person will be shared when they are available.

Faculty, staff and students across campuses are invited to participate. A moderated Q&A session will take place at the conclusion of each presentation, and online participants will be able to submit questions in the Q&A field in Webex during the event. Candidate curriculum vitae will be shared prior to the presentations.
