Organization Description: Thrive is an umbrella organization comprised of multiple programs that seeks to meet the complex needs of vulnerable individuals
Volunteer Activities/Duties: Our Street Reach program requires the most volunteer support and is split between our drop-in’s on 108 LeMarchent Road where we offer outreach support and a safe works access program (SWAP), Thursday Evening suppers at Gower Street Church, and outreach walks around the downtown area.
Commitment: We require a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month for at least 1 year.
Orientation and Training: We provide training on all our programs, SWAP, harm reduction and trauma informed practice over three different evenings to accommodate for those who are working during the days.
Other Requirements: A combination of 2 years of experience or education with vulnerable population, and three (3) professional references due to the nature of our interactions.
