Organization Description: The Canadian Celiac Association (CCA) is the national voice for people adversely affected by gluten and is dedicated to improving diagnosis and quality of life. The CCA serves people with celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and dermatitis herpetiformis through affiliated chapters across Canada. The Newfoundland and Labrador Celiac Association supports the CCA initiatives in our local community through programs of awareness, advocacy, education, and research. The objects of the society are: a) To assist persons with celiac disease and gluten-related disorders in every way possible. b) To aid and assist in the education and training of professionals, parents, and the public generally as may be required to further the objects of the association. c) To prepare, collect, assess and disseminate information and material relating to the celiac disease and gluten-related disorders. d) To investigate the availability and procurement of gluten-free foods. e) To solicit, collect or otherwise raise money for the foregoing purposes and for other purposes directly applicable to the treatment of Celiac disease and gluten-related disorders and assistance to sufferers therefrom.

Volunteer Roles Available: Secretary, Treasurer, Social Media, General Volunteer

Commitment: 6 months minimum
