Food Court Waste Audit and Waste Diversion in St. John's
On March 8, 2011, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the University Center, the Sustainability Office and the Department of Geography launched a new project: a waste audit of the food court. The purpose of this audit was to find out what makes up the food court’s waste and to inform the university community about recycling in St. John’s.
At 2 p.m. in the Loft, 3rd floor of the UC, the results of the waste audit were announced. Directly after the announcement a presentation and discussion of waste diversion in St. John’s was presented by Shelley Pardy of the City of St. John’s Waste Management Division.
