WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH YOUR UNWANTED BOOKS?
Drop by the Memorial University Bookstore on the second floor of the University Centre (UC) or call 864-7440 and ask about the Buyback Program.
Buyback is a bookstore-sponsored program that takes place at the beginning and end of each term in an effort to recycle titles that will be used again in the future. Memorial University Bookstore works with MBS Textbook Exchange Inc., an industry leader in textbook management and delivery, to provide this service to MUN students.
Buyback is a triple-win situation where current students get cash for selling their books, bookstores get in-demand used titles to put on their shelves, and future students are offered money-saving used editions next term. Buying and selling used books benefits everyone involved by cutting costs and reducing the environmental strain of additional textbook printing.
Buyback services are offering at the beginning of the fall and winter semesters each year (during the first week of classes in September and in January); and at the end of the fall and winter semesters each year (usually during final exams). Posters and handouts are distributed before and during each buyback period with detailed information about dates and times of operation.
If the books you want to donate are not textbooks, look for places to donate them locally such as the SPCA Thrift Store, 1062 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL.
