Move Memorial Challenge 2026
It’s time to Move, Memorial!
This June, join colleagues and classmates in getting active as part of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge. From June 1–30, the Memorial community will come together to move more, feel better and have fun along the way.
Form a team of up to six people and work together to reach 1,150 km (1,437,500 steps) in just 30 days! This is the approximate distance from the southernmost point of the province (Cape Pine) to the northernmost point of the province (Cape Chidley). For a team of six, this works out to about 8,000 steps per person per day —an achievable goal that adds up quickly when we move together!
Whether you’re walking, wheeling, swimming or running—every step counts.
To track your progress, we will be using a shared spreadsheet. Each team will be responsible for logging their steps and updating their designated tab throughout the challenge. A link to the tracking sheet and simple instructions will be shared with all teams before the challenge begins.
While we’re keeping things simple this year with a shared tracker, we’re bringing back all the elements that make Move Memorial great—teamwork, friendly competition and community!
