About the LPN Bridging Option

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Bridging admission pathway is available for interested applicants who are currently licensed by the NL College of Nurses.

Accepted applicants are required to complete one bridging semester at the Centre for Nursing Studies before progressing into Year 2 of the 4-Year Bachelor of Nursing (Collaborative Program).

The bridging semester begins each year in May. See here to apply.

Note: If you are applying through the bridging pathway and would also like to be considered for Year 1 of the Accelerated Option or Year 1 of the 4-Year Option, you must submit a separate application.

LPN Bridging applicants must apply for the Spring semester on their Memorial University application. All applicants applying through the bridging pathway are strongly encouraged to apply to the 4-Year Option as well.

The Bridging semester consists of the following courses:

  • HUBI 1430: Biochemistry for Health Professionals
