Forum on Indigenization and Reconciliation at Memorial (FIRM)

Save the date for 2026! Memorial's internal Forum on Indigenization and Reconciliation at Memorial (FIRM) will take place Nov. 2-6, 2026.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2025 forum! If you missed one or more sessions, it's not too late - all recordings are now available in the FIRM site in Brightspace.

Register for FIRM any time to access recordings from this year and previous years, as well as valuable resources on Indigenization and reconciliation.

Every year, faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in FIRM and engage with the Office of Indigenous Affairs in conversations around the Strategic Framework for Indigenization, our respective roles in reconciliation, and some of the work that has been underway here at Memorial currently and in years past.

Please note: FIRM is intentionally internal to facilitate dialogue and nurture trust, and is therefore only open to current Memorial students, faculty and staff.

The 2025 schedule is below and available within the FIRM Brightspace site.

To enroll in the FIRM Brightspace site, please select registration button. Once you log in to Brightspace you will automatically be enrolled.

This will give you access to the FIRM 2025 sessions, as well as previously recorded sessions from FIRM 2024 and FIRM 2023.
