Projects

Seed Funding

The Climate Collective is able to offer funding to complete climate adaptation projects in schools and groups. The goal of this program is to allow youth to be directly involved in learning how climate change may affect them and their community, identifying areas for improvement in climate resilience, experience in project planning and implementation, and how to reflect on their achievements and share their experiences with peers. It is also a great opportunity for the school or group to implement a project that can help improve climate readiness.

Here's how it works:

1) Reach out to climate collective to book the Climate 101 and Climate Action Planning workshops

2) Climate Collective hosts the workshops and work on a climate action plan

3) Fill out and submit the Youth Action Project Funding Application Form

4) Climate Collective will review the application. If approved, a contract will be sent

5) Funds are released and you begin the project

6) At 6 months, provide a final report on the project's progress or completion

Youth Climate Cafés

Climate Cafés are a welcoming and inclusive space to chat with others about your feelings around climate change, and brainstorm ways to take action. The sessions are guided by a mental health professional, help to meet like-minded people, and provide a safe space to talk about feelings surrounding climate change.

Our climate cafés will be youth focused, for ages 18-35, and held virtually.
