They don’t call us “The Rock” for nothing!

Newfoundland and Labrador is made of rock from all around the world, proving that even before the continents were formed, this place was attracting tourists!

Not to brag, but this province is home to some seriously special rocks – at more than 3.5 billion years old, they’re among the oldest on the planet.

At a youthful 550 million years old, the rock that forms the Johnson Geo Centre’s interactive spray wall is pretty much a baby by comparison. Spray it down to see how it was formed.
