Climate Action Youth Forum
Johnson Geo Centre's Climate Collective is proud to present this Climate Action Youth Forum in partnership with Learning for a Sustainable Future. The forum will host up to 120 grade 5-8 students and their educators and will provide professional development for teachers, hands-on workshops for students, lunch and snacks, and the opportunity to receive $500 towards a climate action project.
- Teachers get a full day of professional development focused on practical techniques and resources for climate learning, connecting to curriculum, and empowering students through Climate Action Projects
- Students get an inspiring day of speakers and hands-on workshops designed to engage them in local climate issues, equip them with skills and knowledge, and empower them with ideas for action!
- Your whole class/club gets access to our online library of virtual workshops to keep the learning going, including LSF’s Action Project planning workshop!
- Your team gets a $500 Action Project grant to make a real difference in your community!
Participation is free. Each school can send 1-2 educators and up to 5 students. There is some funding available for supply coverage (up to 25 schools - first come, first served).
